Let's think about the past year...

Well, with 2009 slipping away, and 2010 standing at the frontdoor, maybe it's a good idea to think about this year and about what is coming next year!
The past week, I was wondering why we even celebrate the beginning of a new year. I mean, we celebrate, we're happy with it, and after 365 days we've forgotten all the good promises we made and are already looking forward to a new year. The only visible change is the date, you have to write 2010 instead of 2009 (which is, for me, always very confusing the first weeks)
Seen from the other side... It actually is a new start, and if your year sucked, I do understand you want it to end very soon.
Well, yeah, a nice party is fun! And firework is cool, you can make lovely pictures of it (like the one I posted below, I made it last year and I think it's a nice one)
And about 2009... Well, I can't say that I'm sad to see it over. It brought me a lot of good things, but some bad things, too... But I guess you have to live with that, a little misery makes you stronger.

Good things 2009 brought me
-My Robsession, and a lot of juicy pics and gossip about Rob. Heartattacks!
-The Jonas Brothers-concert
-My pink hair! (I still love it)
-I went to 4th grade, finally we're the big ones at school!
-I went to Barcelona
-I succeeded in my Spanish exam with a 9!
-I turned 15 (which means, next year I'll be 16 and allowed to do a lot of things)
-I started writing my bestseller-to-be (at least, I hope so xD)
-I started blogging and found out how much fun it is
-My room is finally rebuilt
-A Nespresso-machine (it's my parent's, but I use it, too)
-A nice trip to Italy with my family and friends of ours
-A lot of nice (Sweet 16) parties from my friends
-And it also brought me a lot of new daily experiences, better relationships and funny moments!

And like I said, of course there were those hard moments, my granddad died, my friend Anna had a hard time, I've had some moody days, my heart has been broken a few times (not just because of boys) and it has been glued even more often, and there are just those crappy times when you see no sense, but after all this, I'm still alive and happy to be!

So, I'll close the 2009-door tonight, I will look back through the windows, remember the good times, learn from the hard times, and move on!
And I am sure, 2010 is so going to be my year! (I've read that in a lot of horoscopes, and who am I to disagree with that)
I'm sure 2010 will be a great year filled with lots of fun, love, and beautiful moments!

So, I wish you a happy new year, and enjoy your New Year's Eve responsibly! (and be careful with the firework! ;-))

It's time for another party!

Now Christmas might be over, but that doesn't mean there are no reasons for more parties!
Today it's my Daddy's 50th birthday! (yeaah, he's getting old)
And that is something for celebrating, so tonight there's gonna be a huge party for him! There will be like 80 people, and over 20 of them are teens, so it's sure gonna be lots of fun!
Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Oh, so cool, Tjorven and I are listening to The Top 2000 on the radio. Every year from Christmas to New Year, they have the 2000 best songs ever made, and since last year, I can really appreciate the music. They have all those oldies, the Beatles and Queen and the Stones and stuff, it's great for dancing!

I'll show you the pics of my Christmas presents, I promised Tjorven to put them here so everyone could see what she's given me, haha.

Now here are my presents! I know I really got spoiled, but we all love an extraordinary Christmas and buying gifts for each other.
My parents gave me:
Fresh Fruits, a book with amazing Japanese Streetwear pictures
The Holiday, my favorite romantic movie, on DVD
Only By The Night, the CD of the Kings Of Leon, one of my fav bands.
A Thomas Sabo-charm bracelet, with two charms, a tiny bra and a hipster, so cute!
Robsessed, the Robert Pattinson Dvd-box including the Robsessed Documentary and one of his older movies, The Haunted Airman, which is a nice movie, there are those gorgeous shots of his face, heaven was right next to me at the moment I watched that.

My Grandparents gave me another charm, a little sparkly strawberry, which is also totally sweet.
And Tjorven bought me a money bank, but it looks like a Japanese girl, so sweet!
Robert and Maria and Roos and Albert gave me money, and I think I'll buy another charm for my bracelet!
And I also got a travel guide for Peru, because that's were I'm going to this summer, it's an charity-project, and I'll tell more about that later.

Anyway, I wanted to thank everybody for the lovely presents, I like all of them so much!

Enjoy your holiday!

Kirsten's Christmas Wishes!

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Eve and Day!
I had, at least. Yesterday, we celebrated with my Mum's family, her parents Lily & Heinz, her brother Robert and his girlfriend Maria, and her aunt Roos and uncle Albert with their son Lars. I really like all of them, they're so cool!
It's always so much fun when Robert and Lars are there, they're 36 and 31 years old, but they act like they're 17, and my sister Tjorven and I always laugh our asses of when they're around. Maria is a very sweet girl, too. She's only 24, so it's a bit like I have an older sister.
We all bought presents for each other, and my parents made a lovely dinner. They love cooking, and it seems like I've inherited that passion, so I helped them.
I got great presents, I'll post pictures of it this week, I just don't feel like talking about them right now.
And since it still is Christmas, I feel like talking about... love?
Because that's what Christmas is about, isn't it? About being with your family and beloved ones, caring for each other, and having a good time!
So, my wish for this year: LOVE.
Though love IS everywhere and always, it's just a good thing to think about it and appreciate what you have.
And four wise men told us before: All you need is love.
(I think you know who I mean, don't you? A little hint: John, Paul, Ringo, George)

So, this year I wish for: love for my family, love for my friends, love for what I have, love for what I don't have, love for what I might get one day, and much, much, much love for YOU, my dearest reader.
Love Love Love... <3

(And of course, it's never too late to wish for a little snow!)

xoxo, Kirsten

P.S. : Too bad Robert Pattinson/Taylor Lautner/Joe Jonas wasn't standing at my door to surprise me yesterday... Well, there's another day tomorrow, and I could always put it on my wishlist for next year! ;-)

Aahw... CUTE!

Now this isn't something I usually post here, but I'm so happy with it!

I was reading Perez Hilton, and I was searching for R-Patz messages (none), and then I deceided to search for new JoBro news, as I hadn't checked that for a couple of days.
So I just typed in: Jonas Brothers, totally unconscious of what had happened.
And then that line hit me right away:

The Purity Ring Is Off! Kevin Jonas Weds!
(of course, Perez writes things down his own way, I would have prefered: The Happily Ever After Of Kevin And His Danielle, but anyway)

SO CUTE!
I love weddings, they're so happy and romantic. Too bad I couldn't find any pictures of it, I'd love to see the dress (Vera Wang) and decorations and stuff. Well, maybe they'll come out in a couple of days, who knows.
Oh, I'm so happy for them! Though now there's one JoBro less up for grabs. ;-)
Congrats, Kev & Dani!

P.S.: Perez was right, now he can finally throw away his purity ring... (A)

Let me tell you a little fairytale...

Once upon a time, in a magic land far, far away, there was this Magical Garden.
It wasn't a normal garden, of course not, it wouldn't be called the Magical Garden if it were just an ordinary garden like you and I have at home.
This garden was different, a place for dreaming, for being free and careless, all you worries gone. A place where happily ever afters still existed.
Now in this garden, there lived a little frog. It was a very sweet one, but he didn't have a lot of friends. In fact, all the other frogs jumped away when he came near. It made him sad, he didn't know what was wrong with him, and no one else ever told him why they didn't want him around.
One day, our little frog came across a lovely, cute girlie frog. She was sitting at the leaf of a water lily, watching herself in the reflection of the calm water. His little froggyheart started beating faster as soon as he saw her, and his green cheeks turned a little bit greener.
This girlie frog was beautiful, even more gorgeous than the perfect lily she was sitting next to, and our little frog jumped closer. He was about to tell her she was beatiful, that she was the prettiest froggy he'd ever seen.
But before he had even opened his little froggymouth, she turned around and saw him. She didn't speak, she just watched him. And as she let her froggy-eyes wander over him, the look in her eyes changed from interested to disgusted. With one glare at him, she bounced into the water and swam away, leaving our little frog behing, brokenhearted.
He watched his happily ever after swimming away, then started crying, hot tears washed down his cheeks as he remembered the way she looked at him. She didn't even say a word, he felt like he wasn't worth speaking to, and cried even louder.
Winter came, leafs fell down the trees, and our froggie was still crying.
Spring came back, made everything clearer and warmer, but he still couldn't stop crying.
It was this sound which was heard by a little girl.
She was walking through the Magical Garden, thinking about things a little girl thinks of. When she heard the weird sobbing noise, she walked toward it, to the pond where our frog was feeling miserable. She lay down on her belly at the water's edge, looked at our froggie and reached for him.
''Little froggie, why are you crying?'' she asked.
Froggie didn't answer, he just looked at her, so sad and hearbreaking that she stroked his head.
''Little froggie, don't be afraid, I'll sing a song for you!'' she said.
Froggie didn't respond, but she started her song. It was an oldie, he had heard the lines before, but never really knew their meaning.
As this little girl sang it, all became clear to him, as if he'd opened his eyes.
He listened to her tinkling voice as she sang:
Little darling, it's been a hard, cold, lonely winter
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say: ''It's all right...''

When she finished it, froggie looked at her, and without thinking, he jumped at her hand, which was still reaching towards him.
She smiled. ''Come on, little friend, it's no time for feeling sad!''
He croaked in response and made a little jump of joy.
And then they tumbled away together, looking for a new adventure...
And of course, they lived happily ever after!

It's the most WONDERFULL time off the year!

It's the most wonderful time of the yeaaaaar!
LALALAAAA

A-hum. Excuse me, I can't sing, actually.
But, who cares, no one can hear me, except for my family. Who will love my, wheter I can sing or not, and who aren't great singers themzelves, either.
And I just LOVE Christmas.
The happiness, the songs, being with your family and friends, buying gifts for them, the cosyness, and the decoration.
And that is exactly what we've been doing today.
We decorated our house today!
My Mom wanted everything white and silver this year, so she bought all new stuff.
And I have to say, I like the result. It's not complete yet, but we'll take care of it this week.

You can make decoration out of everything.. Even with Starbucks's special Christmas-edition-coffeecups. (oh, by the way, their christmas Toffee-Nut-Latte is amazing!)

Our TV-dressoir. My Mom made that decorated plate, I really like it.

And Mom loves candles, too!

So, now, let's decorate our tree!

And get wrapped up in the garlands...

Hihi, say hi to my little big sister Tjorven!

And say hi to Svenne, too!

And don't forget Jytte!

The crib. We've had it as long as I can remember, so that's what I like about it, it's familiar.

And here you see the tree when we were done! The only thing missing is a star or something else on top! A
And then we're ready!

Days are getting shorter...

Hey!
Oh, I've had a busy week. It was busy, but nice.
I've been working on my Sinterklaas-surprise a couple of days. We organised a Surprise-party, which means, you write down your name on a piece of paper, fold it, and then everyone puts the paper in a box and picks another. And then you're supposed to make a surprise for the one who's name is on the paper you chose. Unless you have your own paper, then you pick another.
So you buy a little present, write a poem and make a nice box to put it in.
I had Fleur, and I was glad, because I know her pretty well, and that makes it a lot easier to make something.
So, Friday evening, we all went to Anna's, and we had a lot of fun!
Anna had me, and she made me a paper Karl Lagerfeld! How cool is that?
I'll post the pictures as soon as Anna sends them to me, we had a really nice time!
Yesterday, we celebrated Sinterklaas at home.
I actually don't like it that much, but my youngest sister still believes it's all real, so this year we had to keep it up for the last year.
But, no whining, I always get a couple of present, so who am I to say I don't like it...
I received a new mascara, LancĂ´me Oscilation, the one with the vibrating brush. It's really cool, it works well! I also got the DVD of the Jonas Brothers concert (LOVE <3) and a new book, it's called Not Quite a Bride (Kirsten Sawyer) and I like the book, it's funny!

But, coming back to the partysubject...
I'm a Christmasgirl. I think. I love everything about Christmas, all the kindness, the lights, the decoration, the stuff in the shops, the cards, really EVERYTHING!
I don't even mind the cities being so crowded you van hardly walk down the streets.
Or spending all my money to presents for my family and friends. Or the cold. Or the dark days.
I took this picture out of the window, I saw that moon and I really thought it was beautiful...
