A weekend, a schoolday, a journey...

Hi!

Oh, it's so HOT in here!
I love summer and the sun, but it's not the perfect season for sleeping on a ceiling. And if you're dad is cultivating your room, which means you don't have a closet to put your clothes in, and that means the tiny piece of room you are able to use, is covered with clothes to make it look even smaller, it's absolutely no nice place to sleep.
But I can't complain, it will look better when finished, and at least I have an own room, a bed to sleep in and all these other things.

This weekend I went to Park City Live, a musicfestival in Heerlen. We helped there, to gain some money for the Peru-project. We had to check tickets and clean up, it was nice! It was really warm, so we all got a little tanned, and we could enjoy the music. I still have painful legs from bending forwards all the time, haha.

And I had so much fun at school today! (yes, that is possible... you just have to make it fun!)
This morning when I was leaving home, I found the new CosmoGIRL! in our mailbox, and I just put it in my bag, to read it at school.
And the funny thing is, I always take it with me to read it myself, but mostly, the boys steal it and read it!
Our Maths-teacher just let us do what we wanted to, next weeks the exams started and we did all the things we had to, so we could talk and have some fun. And I always sit with Danny, Paul and Jari, and they really liked the Cosmo. At first, Jari wanted to throw it out of the window, but I guess he knows that I wouldn't like that, and or course he would never do such a thing. ;-)
(I'm just being nice now)
The guys wanted to do all the tests, the fill up-story and they watched pictures and commented them.

Paul: 'Hey, Jari, are you watching the hats?'
Jari: 'What do you think? Not the hats.' (add: The girls under the hats)

So we did all the tests, read all the stories (it was a Twilight-special, I was totally happy with all these cute pictures and interviews with Rob and Tay, the boys said they were gay... Sillies), analysed our horoscopes (boys seem to read them, too) and commented all the pictures, and then class was over. It really was funny.

And coming back to something I said earlier, about having a place to sleep and about Peru, I realize it's only 11 days away! We will leave on Saturday 10 July, in the middle of the night. From Heerlen to Schiphol (the airport in Amsterdam), from Schiphol to Madrid, from Madrid to Lima, to Ayacucho, back to Lima, to Cusco, hiking through the Andes to Ocongate, to Machu Picchu, and back to Cusco, Lima, Madrid, Amsterdam, Heerlen.
It's going to be a great journey, I am sure. It's about expanding your horizon, shifting boundaries, doing things we have never done before, doing something nice for someone else and having lots of fun!
Of course it will be a non-luxury trip, no Chanel-bags (the one on the pic is great! It's from the Paris-Shangai collection and absolutely adorable!), no Prada-shoes, no warm and comfortable bed, no cellphone, and in the worst case: no toilet.
But it's going to be great, I know it!

With love,
Kirsten

We are going to this place here... It seems to be magical.

And seeing people like this! I'm going to shop so much there...

Some things last forever.

Hi!

Whoah, it's so hot today!
That's not a bad thing, I guess, we have an airco in this room, so it's actually a little too cool in here. Cycling home is going to be an entirely different thing, I assume.

But when I'm home, I can go shopping for new shoes with my Mom (yay!) and after that, I think I will just l down in the garden, in the sun or the pool, and enjoy the warm weather! :D
Hm, I wonder if there's someone who wants to come to my place to swim or so, it's not that much of fun when you're all alone. I could always ask around if someone would like to, so I'll just see.

I was downtown yesterday, and I went to a bookstore. I wanted to buy a new novel, but I couldn't make a choice, so I didn't bought one. I did see a great book about fashion, but I hadn't enough money, so I have to buy that another time.
Are there any books you would recommand? I'd love to hear!

The actual reason I was shopping yesterday, is the same I go for today: the search for new shoes.
There was a pair of lovely ankle boots, black, high heels and a flower on the ankle, absolutely great.
They will be mine for winter!

And if I really can't find anything, I simply climg to my old AllStars. I pimped mine, changed the laces and let my friends draw on them, so now they really are one of a kind! And I know that they will always fitt and be good enough to wear, no matter what ;)
They're classics!

Enjoy the sun!

xoxo,
Kirsten

I wanna hold your hand!

Hey!

Hope you all are fine and happy!

I'm doing fine, I guess. I'm still at school, but can go home at 13.00, so that's only 30 minutes.

It's going to be busy today, I have tennisclass at 17.00, and after that, we're going to have dinner with the family, because it's my gran's birthday, and after that, I'm going to Sammy's party.
And I have to watch the soccergame, Germany-Servia. Yeah, I know, I'm not so into soccer usually, but I like the big tournaments. Though everyone is going crazy and every second word you hear is 'soccergame!' or something like that, it's okay.
Yesterday we watched Argentinia-South Korea at school, and I learned some important things:

1. Never ask a guy something during the game.
2. Don't yell too hard or with a high voice.
3. Don't talk about the fact whether the players are cute or not.

I sat next to Nadja and Sammy, and all we did was giggling about the players. We both agreed the nicest player from Argentinia was no 9, and Sammy and I likes one guy from the Korean team, but we couldn't see his name or number.
I guess the guys were a bit annoyed by us, but we don't care...
After all, it's just a game! ( I know the boys won't agree with me, but it is!)

Talking about boys again... Why are some of them so cute?
It's quite annoying sometimes, being in love with someone, or just finding him very sweet.
Especially because I do such a bad job in reading boys' minds! I never know if they say what they mean, or mean what they say, or exactly the other way around...
The way they behave always makes me feel very confused:

I like him, I don't like him, he's cute, he's childish, he's funny, he's arrogant, oh god, he's so handsome, oh gee, what is he doing, why is he so rude, why is he laughing, what is going on, what does he think about me, he likes me, he doens't like me, he likes me, he doesn't like me, why is he looking at me that way, what does it mean, does he like me, or am I making myself going insane?

Terrible!

At least, there are some people who will always like you, whatever you do.
They are called friends! :D

Picture above shows me and my youngest sister, Jytte. She is so cute and funny, really cool.
I think she'll like the picture :)

And then, what more is there to say than the usual things.

Love, care, smilke, be happy!

(and to some people, there is more... I guess they'll know)
xoxo,
Kirsten

I'll send all my loving to you

Hi!

Wow, time passes way too fast!
You know, I a few weeks, our summerbreak will start, this year passed even faster than others, it seems.
Two years, and we will all graduate from high school and go to university. That's pretty weird to think of, all these people who are important to me right now will spread across the whole country, or even world, and we might never see each other again!
So I guess we have to enjoy the days as long as they are the way they are. Today, we played hockey in gym class, and that was really nice. I even got a pink hockeystick! Great!

And talking about summerbreak, I realise it's only 29 days till I will leave for Peru for three weeks. I'm totally excited to go, it's a beautiful country and we are going to do good things there, and visit Machu Picchu and walk with lamas(they have to carry our luggage in the mountains, and I'm going to call my lama Karl), and visit orphants and stuff, I mean, that's just awesome!
I'm really nervous too. I mean, three weeks, so far away, without my parents, camping in tents at 4000 m, walking all day long, and of course, the flying.
I'll admit it: I'm mostly afraid of the flying.
I have never flown before, so I don't know what to expect. What if the plane crashes? I really don't want to die yet, I absolutely can't, I'm way too busy to die.
But the only thing we can do, is hoping it won't happen and we will all be back safe again. And they say that flying is safer than crossing the street, and that went well for over a hundred times, so I guess one flight won't kill me.
And I'm sure it will be a great time and a wonderful experience!

I already know that I'm going to but so many presents and gifts there, it's cheap, colorful and sweet, so why not? And everyone is giving me money to spend there, and I'm sure that I won't be able to spend all of it, so when I'm back, I'm going to buy myself something gorgeous, like lovely new shoes or a new bag, something I don't need, but just want.
Because I can do that ;)

But, able to buy whatever you want or not, we shouldn't forget the important things, like being happy, being free and being loved.

xoxo,
Kirsten

Close your eyes
And I'll kiss you
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true
And meanwhile I'm away
I'll write home everyday
And I'll send all my loving to you

Touched by a Silky Romance...

Hey!

Oh, in 20 minutes I finally can go home. I'm still at school now, and since I don't have anything better to do, I decided I could use my time better by writing a new post.

It was really fun, I just had gymclass, and we went to the tennishalls to play squash, badminton and tennis (of course). I've played tennis for almost seven years now, and it's one of the rare sports that suit me.
I played tennis with Lenneke, Veerle, Jari and Niels, and it was nice. They all are quite good, so it went fine. We decided to hire some courts this summer, so we can play in our free time.
That would be fun, I think!

And oh, the weather is finally like it is suposed to be in May! It's warm and sunny enough to leave your jacket home and go out in your T-shirt, that's absolutely great.
I love the sun! It makes everything easier, lighter and more cheerful. And getting a bit tanned is nice, too. Summer always makes me feel happy, it's so hard to feel grumpy when the sun is heating your hair and face.
I think I'll throw a poolparty this summer, when I'm back from Peru. Just me and a couple of good friends to have fun with. We could buy some beer or wine and barbeque stuff and enjoy the summerdays.
I think I'm going to ask around who would like to be there! ^^

And before I forget to tell it, I got myself in serious trouble.
One moment, there aren't any nice guys, the other moment, there are too much of them. I think I'm in love again, but I'm not sure because there are so many cute guys! And now I'm not sure if I'm in love with one of them, or more, or that I just like them all a lot.
Boys boys boys...
And no, I'm not giving any names. I will tell you if it gets more serious, so let's keep our fingers crossed!
Meanwhile, I'm doing fine as a single, no worries, just me and my friends and lots of fun!

And maybe I have already found my Big Love. Maybe it's just the feeling of being in love with someone, I love that. Just keepeing on thinking about someone special, and all the dreams and romantic moods...
Lovely!

The picture perfectly shows the way I'm feeling now, happy, romantic, light and carefree!
(and if the boys won't do, the scarf could be my love.. ;-))

Enjoy your days!

xoxo,
Kirsten

Give me something I've been wanting...

Hey!
How are you all doing? Sure you all will be fine ;-)
I haven't posted anything for a long time, I simply coulnd't find the time. But today I don't have to do anything, just thing I like, so here I am again!
I got loads to tell you, so I better get started.

Last week:

1: I found myself a job
<
2: My team won 5 out of 6 tennismatches

3: My spring-break started

4: Friends of ours got married

1: Yes, I finally found myself a job. I'm working at the Albert Heijn now, a supermarket.
(watch this one for some extra information about Albert Heijn (it's English, and pretty funny. But don't take it too serious) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWB_ev0dK8o )
I'm at the counters, all I have to do is scanning products, take money and give the customers their change. Which sounds easier than it actually is, but I can handle it. I just need a bit more practice and then it will be perfectly fine, I'm sure.

2: Yes, we finally won some games! That was pretty cool, because it was te first time we played competition, our trainer said: "If you win more than four games, we are going to eat pizza with the entire team."
I guess he didn't thought we would win something, but we did! It was rainy, cold and muggy last Sunday, but we managed to rule them. With some blood of course, that's just a part of it.
Game, set, match!

3: Not much to say about that, except that it's nice to have two weeks off.

4: It was fun! They had been living together for 10 years, and now they finally got married! That's beautiful, isn't it? I love weddings :)
And last week, there wasn't much to do at school, projectweek. We did something with chemistry and maths, and we went to Aachen. Aachen was nice, it was lovely weather, and though I've been there a hundred times and we got a citywalk with a guide, it wasn't hard to enjoy it. Mostly you have to amuse yourself, and I don't see that as a problem. We also went to a museum, with modern art. There were cool things to see there, I liked it.

I also spotted lovely necklaces in a jeweleryshop. They always have extraordinairy things, and I like that kind of stuff. So I'm really considering to buy one of the necklaces with the heart (above), or this one down beneath...

What do you think about it? It's really big, but I don't mind. If you buy stuff like this, at leat you know that no one else has the same piece.

Let me know about it!

xoxo, Kirsten

Flowerbomb!

Hi!
Hope you are doing fine! Sorry for my absence, I was busy last week. Things like tests at school, tenniscompetition, hanging out.
I went to Remember Me this Sunday, with Anna, my sister Tjorven and our friend Chichi, and it was a beautiful movie. It's very miserable and sad, but I liked it.
I guess that I would never have gone to see it if it weren't with Robert Pattinson, but even if it hadn't been him, I would have loved the movie. It's just a nice bonus that it's him having the leading part. And all this hotness isn't bad, either.
O god, I love him x3 (Anna loves him, too)
It actually was quite funny, we bought the tickets, and wanted to walk in, and there was this poster of the movie, and I was like: 'Aaah, look!'
And the guy who had to control the tickets - he was quite cute, too - : 'What movie are you going... Oh, that one. Okay, have fun!'
I knew how the movie ended, so I brought tissues, and when the movie was ending, I gave them to Tjorven and Anna, and we were all holding hands and all hoping it would end well, but it didn't - of course. And when the screen went dark and we thought it was over, Tjorven screamed: 'This is such an anticlimax!'
And she continued: 'Oh, wait, it's not over yet.'
It really, really, really was sad! Don't go there without your tissues!
(but definitely go, you have to see it)
So that much for sad movies and sexy actors...
I love flowers! My Mom bought these last week to decorate the living room, and she bought yellow flowers for the dining room and our magnoliatree is so beautiful now, it's blossoming all over! (I'll see if I can take a pic of that this week)

Lovely lovely lovely!
Have a nice day!

With love,
Kirsten
